Are you feeling thin in the pocket book while you're trying to get thin?
Thoughts for the week-
Living a healthy lifestyle can have a negative impact on the pocketbook. Single servings are expensive, fresh fruits and veggies can be expensive, and running back and forth to the store can be expensive, too.
However, the long-term (and short-term) payoff for a healthy lifestyle can be quite rewarding. You will probably have these benefits for your efforts:
- Fewer medical problems, (and fewer medical bills to deal with!!)
- Fewer prescriptions
- More energy throughout the day
- Emotional well-being and mental acuity
- Overall better health and quality of life
- Eat the recommended portion. Yes, you really can get 12 servings out of that carton of ice cream
- Buy in bulk when possible. Divide immediately into servings, or split it with another family member.
- Discover low cost snacks
- Consider growing your own veggies in a garden. Food and exercise in one!
- Buys your clothes at Goodwill or 2nd hand shops until you reach your desired weight
