What's missing? From your daily diet, that is.

Jane's diet log: all carbs and sugar

Joe's diet log: all protein

Each one is missing: Fruits, veggies, fiber, water, healthy oils, balance.

When we don't get fruits, veggies, fiber, healthy oils, dairy products and water in our daily diet, we miss the target. We can't always hit the bulls-eye, but we should try to more often than not.


Thoughts for the week-
It's important we follow the 8 Good Health Guidelines outlined on pg 76 -82 of your first WW book "Eat Wisely".

  1. Eat five servings of fruits and vegetables, daily.
  2. Choose whole-grain foods whenever possible.
  3. Enjoy 2 to 3 servings of milk products each day.
  4. Drink at least six 8 0z glasses of water each day.
  5. Eat healthy oils each day: 2 tsp olive, canola, safflower, sunflower, or flaxseed, each day.
  6. Get your protein. A serving or two each day.
  7. Limit added sugar and alcohol.
  8. Take a multi vitamin-mineral supplement each day.
None of us will be perfect with all 8 each day, but we should strive toward that goal. Review the list, see where you're weak and find a way to correct that weakness and make it habit.
