Summary Feb 27, 2008

Central theme-
Continuation of ANTS (Automatic Negative Thoughts) topic from last week.

If Hollywood were to make a movie about you, what would it be like?
I was so proud of my own answer, I didn't write down anyone else's. I said Action/Romance. (Wishful thinking, I know.)

Visualize your life the way you want it.... just like you visualize a movie.

Thoughts for the week-

Ants Cont'd:
  1. Visualize and Affirm your Goals and Objectives. Really take the time to think of what your goal is; then stop and take the time to meditate on it.
  2. Take Action. Just do it, okay.
  3. Respond to Feedback. Listen to your body. Listen to the positive people and resources available to you. Tune-In and Respond.
  4. Persevere. Keep heading down the trail, knowing there will be uphill climbs along the way, and maybe even a couple stubbed toes. Enjoy the scenery when the trail is flat and even.
  5. Celebrate Success. Mark the milestones of your success with celebration! You've earned it, take it.

Persevere Dictionary definition
Admit, Submit, and Commit Okay, this is all about the Bible, but put it in the context of WW and dieting, and it may open your eyes to new success.....

Admit you have a problem with weight and can't do it on your own.
Submit to the WW plan and tools for living. This means surrendering your old habits and desires, and yielding to new healthy habits, like eating better and exercising.
Commit
to the WW plan because you trust and believe it to work. Stick with it even when you're not 'feeling it', or the scale isn't moving.

Closing quote-
The Hole Book....
Ch 1) I was walking down the street and fell in a hole. I barely crawled out.
Ch 2) I was walking down the street, pretended the hole wasn't there, and fell in.
Ch 3) I was walking down the street and fell in the hole out of habit.
Ch 4) I was walking down the street, saw the hole, and walked around it.
Ch 5) I took a different street.
--Whoever wrote this is brilliant.
